Security fire doors in Cardiff: how we work
We fit fire and security rated doorsets in Cardiff and the rest of South Glamorgan. The process is simple: we survey and measure each opening, propose a certified doorset for it, and give you a fixed price. Fitting is booked once the doorsets are made, usually with no door left out of action overnight.
Cardiff is one of the main towns we cover in South Glamorgan; tell us your dates and we'll arrange a survey.
Regulations for security fire doors in South Glamorgan
In Cardiff the specification follows Approved Document B as published for Wales, while day-to-day duties to keep fire doors working come from the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. The England-only door-check regulations of 2022 don't apply in Wales, but regular checks remain good practice and are expected by fire risk assessors.
What do security fire doors cost in Cardiff?
Our guide price for security fire doors in Cardiff is £1,600 to £3,500 per single doorset including fitting, ex VAT. Non-standard sizes, veneers, vision panels and access control push towards the top of the range.
The biggest price drivers are leaf size, glazing, finish and ironmongery; upper floors without lifts and restricted parking can also affect fitting cost.
