What the law says in Dewsbury
New and replacement fire doors in Dewsbury are specified under the Building Regulations 2010 and Approved Document B. In workplaces and the common parts of blocks of flats, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 makes the responsible person keep fire doors in working order, and in residential buildings with a storey above 11 metres regulation 10 of the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022 adds quarterly checks of communal doors and annual checks of flat entrance doors.
Cost of FD30S fire doors in West Yorkshire
Guide prices for FD30S fire doors in Dewsbury run from about £800 to £1,250 per single doorset, supplied and fitted, ex VAT. Size, glazing, finish and ironmongery move the price, and the survey quote is fixed.
Each quote covers the certified doorset, standard ironmongery, fitting, removal of the old door and a handover record; anything outside that scope is shown as a separate line before you accept.

Common questions in West Yorkshire
Will I get certificates for the doors fitted in Dewsbury?
Every doorset is listed in your handover pack with the manufacturer's certificate reference, plus an installation record and photos.
Can you fit just one door in Dewsbury?
Yes — from a single door to a full building. Where possible, small jobs are scheduled alongside other visits in West Yorkshire.
Do you work for landlords and managing agents in Dewsbury?
Yes. We can schedule doors flat by flat, send quotes per property and invoice the managing agent or freeholder.
Do smoke seals stop the door closing?
They shouldn't. A properly hung FD30S door closes and latches under its closer. If seals are crushed or the door binds, it needs adjusting — a door that fails to latch is a failed fire door.
