Common questions in Hertfordshire
Do you remove the old doors?
Yes. Removal and disposal of the old door and frame is included when we replace a doorset in Bishop's Stortford.
How quickly can you survey in Bishop's Stortford?
We arrange surveys around your access needs and, where possible, combine Bishop's Stortford visits with other work in Hertfordshire. Tell us your preferred dates when you enquire.
What does a Bishop's Stortford quote include?
Survey, certified doorset, ironmongery, installation, removal of old doors and a handover pack. VAT is added at the standard rate.
Do smoke seals stop the door closing?
They shouldn't. A properly hung FD30S door closes and latches under its closer. If seals are crushed or the door binds, it needs adjusting — a door that fails to latch is a failed fire door.
