Certified FD30S fire doors for Dunfermline
Looking for FD30S fire doors in Dunfermline? Our supply and fit service covers KY12 and the surrounding area, including Livingston and Kirkcaldy. We quote complete doorsets — leaf, frame, seals, hinges and closer — because that is what the fire certification actually covers.
We cover Dunfermline and the rest of Fife, with surveys arranged around your building's access and occupancy.
Which rules apply in Dunfermline?
In Dunfermline the building standards come from the Scottish Technical Handbooks rather than Approved Document B, and existing non-domestic premises fall under the Fire (Scotland) Act 2005. We specify doorsets against the Scottish requirements and your fire risk assessment.
FD30S fire doors prices in Dunfermline
Guide prices for FD30S fire doors in Dunfermline run from about £800 to £1,250 per single doorset, supplied and fitted, ex VAT. Size, glazing, finish and ironmongery move the price, and the survey quote is fixed.
Each quote covers the certified doorset, standard ironmongery, fitting, removal of the old door and a handover record; anything outside that scope is shown as a separate line before you accept.

FD30S fire doors in Dunfermline: questions
Can you fit just one door in Dunfermline?
Yes — from a single door to a full building. Where possible, small jobs are scheduled alongside other visits in Fife.
Is the survey in Dunfermline free?
Yes. We measure and schedule your doors at no cost and send a fixed, itemised quote.
What does a Dunfermline quote include?
Survey, certified doorset, ironmongery, installation, removal of old doors and a handover pack. VAT is added at the standard rate.
Do smoke seals stop the door closing?
They shouldn't. A properly hung FD30S door closes and latches under its closer. If seals are crushed or the door binds, it needs adjusting — a door that fails to latch is a failed fire door.
