Getting composite fire doors fitted in Isle of Wight
We supply and fit composite fire doors across Isle of Wight, including Newport, Ryde and Cowes. Every job starts with a free measure survey and ends with a handover pack listing each certified doorset fitted.
Which rules apply in Isle of Wight?
Because Isle of Wight is in England, the starting point is Approved Document B for the specification and the Fire Safety Order 2005 for ongoing duties. Blocks with a storey above 11 metres also fall under regulation 10 of the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022: communal fire doors checked at least every three months, flat front doors at least every year.
What do composite fire doors cost in Isle of Wight?
Budget around £1,200 to £2,200 per door for composite fire doors supplied and fitted in Isle of Wight, excluding VAT. We price each opening separately so nothing is hidden in a lump sum.
The biggest price drivers are leaf size, glazing, finish and ironmongery; upper floors without lifts and restricted parking can also affect fitting cost.

Do you remove the old doors?
Yes. Removal and disposal of the old door and frame is included when we replace a doorset.
Can you work around tenants or staff?
Yes. We phase work in occupied buildings and keep escape routes available. Each door is planned to be removed and replaced the same day; if that isn't possible, the opening is made secure and we tell you in advance.
Do you cover the whole of Isle of Wight?
Yes. We survey, supply and fit composite fire doors across Isle of Wight, including Newport, Ryde and Cowes.
Can composite fire doors be used externally?
Many are tested for external use, which matters for doors opening onto external walkways or stairs.
