Fire doors in Dudley
Whether your Dudley building needs one replacement fire door or a full programme, we survey, quote each opening with its certificate reference and fit to the manufacturer's instructions.
Dudley is about 8 miles from Birmingham. Wherever your building is in DY2, we arrange survey and fitting dates around access and occupancy.
Which rules apply in Dudley?
Fire doors in Dudley sit under English rules: Approved Document B sets what goes in, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 covers keeping doors effective in non-domestic premises and shared parts of residential buildings, and the 2022 regulations require regular door checks in residential buildings taller than 11 metres. Higher-risk buildings — 18 metres or seven storeys with two or more homes — also come under the Building Safety Act 2022.
Birmingham has one of the UK's largest collections of residential tower blocks and city-centre apartments, with the Black Country towns adding industry, schools and HMOs.

Questions about fire doors in Dudley
Do you work for landlords and managing agents in Dudley?
Yes. We can schedule doors flat by flat, send quotes per property and invoice the managing agent or freeholder.
Can you work around tenants or staff in Dudley?
Yes. We phase work in occupied buildings and keep escape routes available. Each door is planned to be removed and replaced the same day; if that isn't possible, the opening is made secure and we tell you in advance.
Do you remove the old doors?
Yes. Removal and disposal of the old door and frame is included when we replace a doorset in Dudley.
Can you fit just one door in Dudley?
Yes — from a single door to a full building. Where possible, small jobs are scheduled alongside other visits in West Midlands.
