Our service in London
In London we fit fire doors for freeholders, managing agents, landlords, businesses and homeowners. Each job starts with a free survey in WC2N and ends with a handover pack for your records.
We cover London and the rest of Greater London, with surveys arranged around your building's access and occupancy.
What the law says in London
Fire doors in London sit under English rules: Approved Document B sets what goes in, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 covers keeping doors effective in non-domestic premises and shared parts of residential buildings, and the 2022 regulations require regular door checks in residential buildings taller than 11 metres. Higher-risk buildings — 18 metres or seven storeys with two or more homes — also come under the Building Safety Act 2022.
London has the UK's largest concentration of purpose-built flats and high-rise residential blocks, so flat entrance doors, communal corridor doors and regulation 10 checks drive much of the demand.
