Our Nelson supply and fit service
We fit acoustic fire doorsets in Nelson and the rest of Lancashire. The process is simple: we survey and measure each opening, propose a certified doorset for it, and give you a fixed price. Fitting is booked once the doorsets are made, usually with no door left out of action overnight.
We cover BB9 and the surrounding area, including Colne. Tell us your postcode and preferred dates and we'll confirm a survey slot.
Regulations for acoustic fire doors in Lancashire
In Nelson, as across England, Approved Document B governs new work and the Fire Safety Order 2005 governs existing premises. Note that Approved Document B is removing the BS 476 fire-resistance test references on 2 September 2029, so specifications are moving to EN classifications such as E30 Sa.
What do acoustic fire doors cost in Nelson?
Budget around £1,100 to £2,000 per single doorset for acoustic fire doors supplied and fitted in Nelson, excluding VAT. We price each opening separately so nothing is hidden in a lump sum.
Guide prices assume straightforward access; out-of-hours working or difficult access is priced as a separate, visible line.

Acoustic fire doors in Nelson: questions
Can you work around tenants or staff in Nelson?
Yes. We phase work in occupied buildings and keep escape routes available. Each door is planned to be removed and replaced the same day; if that isn't possible, the opening is made secure and we tell you in advance.
Do you work for landlords and managing agents in Nelson?
Yes. We can schedule doors flat by flat, send quotes per property and invoice the managing agent or freeholder.
Which rules do acoustic fire doors in Nelson need to meet?
They are specified to Approved Document B (England) and your fire risk assessment or fire strategy. We confirm the rating of each door at survey.
Are acoustic fire doors heavier?
Yes, usually, so they may need stronger closers and hinges.
