Getting acoustic fire doors fitted in Morden
We cover Morden and nearby Mitcham for acoustic fire doors, with surveys booked around your building's access and occupancy. Each door is quoted individually, so you can see what every opening costs and why.
Where possible we combine Morden surveys with other visits in Greater London, such as Mitcham and Wimbledon, which helps keep survey dates flexible.
Which rules apply in Morden?
Fire doors in Morden sit under English rules: Approved Document B sets what goes in, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 covers keeping doors effective in non-domestic premises and shared parts of residential buildings, and the 2022 regulations require regular door checks in residential buildings taller than 11 metres. Higher-risk buildings — 18 metres or seven storeys with two or more homes — also come under the Building Safety Act 2022.

Common questions in Greater London
Is the survey in Morden free?
Yes. We measure and schedule your doors at no cost and send a fixed, itemised quote.
Which rules do acoustic fire doors in Morden need to meet?
They are specified to Approved Document B (England) and your fire risk assessment or fire strategy. We confirm the rating of each door at survey.
Can you work around tenants or staff in Morden?
Yes. We phase work in occupied buildings and keep escape routes available. Each door is planned to be removed and replaced the same day; if that isn't possible, the opening is made secure and we tell you in advance.
Can existing doors be made acoustic?
Seals can help a little, but significant improvement normally needs an acoustic doorset.
