Steel fire doors in Woodford Green: how we work
Looking for steel fire doors in Woodford Green? Our supply and fit service covers IG8 and the surrounding area, including Chingford and Walthamstow. We quote complete doorsets — leaf, frame, seals, hinges and closer — because that is what the fire certification actually covers.
Whether your building is in central Woodford Green or on its edges towards Chingford, survey and fitting dates are arranged around your access needs, with occupied buildings worked in planned phases.
Which rules apply in Woodford Green?
Fire doors in Woodford Green sit under English rules: Approved Document B sets what goes in, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 covers keeping doors effective in non-domestic premises and shared parts of residential buildings, and the 2022 regulations require regular door checks in residential buildings taller than 11 metres. Higher-risk buildings — 18 metres or seven storeys with two or more homes — also come under the Building Safety Act 2022.
What do steel fire doors cost in Woodford Green?
Guide prices for steel fire doors in Woodford Green run from about £1,100 to £2,600 per single doorset, supplied and fitted, ex VAT. Size, glazing, finish and ironmongery move the price, and the survey quote is fixed.
Central and inner London work can cost a little more where parking, loading restrictions or out-of-hours access apply; we show any access costs as a separate line.
The biggest price drivers are leaf size, glazing, finish and ironmongery; upper floors without lifts and restricted parking can also affect fitting cost.
