Certified stairwell fire doors for Gosforth
We fit doors onto protected stairs and escape routes in Gosforth and the rest of Tyne and Wear. The process is simple: we survey and measure each opening, propose a certified doorset for it, and give you a fixed price. Fitting is booked once the doorsets are made, usually with no door left out of action overnight.
Where possible we combine Gosforth surveys with other visits in Tyne and Wear, such as Newcastle upon Tyne and Gateshead, which helps keep survey dates flexible.
Fire door rules in Gosforth
In Gosforth, as across England, Approved Document B governs new work and the Fire Safety Order 2005 governs existing premises. Note that Approved Document B is removing the BS 476 fire-resistance test references on 2 September 2029, so specifications are moving to EN classifications such as E30 Sa.
Guide prices in Gosforth
Our guide price for stairwell fire doors in Gosforth is £850 to £1,400 per single doorset including fitting, ex VAT. Non-standard sizes, veneers, vision panels and access control push towards the top of the range.
We show each door's price separately, so if budget is tight you can phase the work and start with the doors your fire risk assessment prioritises.
