Stairwell fire doors in Prestwich: how we work
Getting stairwell fire doors right in Prestwich means choosing a certified doorset for each opening and fitting it exactly as tested. That's the whole service: survey, schedule, certified doorset, careful installation and the paperwork to prove it.
Where possible we combine Prestwich surveys with other visits in Greater Manchester, such as Whitefield and Radcliffe, which helps keep survey dates flexible.
What the law says in Prestwich
In Prestwich, as across England, Approved Document B governs new work and the Fire Safety Order 2005 governs existing premises. Note that Approved Document B is removing the BS 476 fire-resistance test references on 2 September 2029, so specifications are moving to EN classifications such as E30 Sa.
What do stairwell fire doors cost in Prestwich?
Expect roughly £850–£1,400 per single doorset for stairwell fire doors, fitted, ex VAT. Your Prestwich quote is fixed after survey and itemised door by door.
