Our Cheltenham supply and fit service
Need stairwell fire doors in Cheltenham? We supply and fit complete certified doorsets across Gloucestershire, starting with a free measure survey in and around GL50. Every quote lists each door, its rating and the manufacturer's certificate reference, so you know exactly what is going in before anything is ordered.
Cheltenham is about 7 miles from Gloucester. Wherever your building is in GL50, we arrange survey and fitting dates around access and occupancy.
Regulations for stairwell fire doors in Gloucestershire
New and replacement fire doors in Cheltenham are specified under the Building Regulations 2010 and Approved Document B. In workplaces and the common parts of blocks of flats, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 makes the responsible person keep fire doors in working order, and in residential buildings with a storey above 11 metres regulation 10 of the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022 adds quarterly checks of communal doors and annual checks of flat entrance doors.
What do stairwell fire doors cost in Cheltenham?
Budget around £850 to £1,400 per single doorset for stairwell fire doors supplied and fitted in Cheltenham, excluding VAT. We price each opening separately so nothing is hidden in a lump sum.
The biggest price drivers are leaf size, glazing, finish and ironmongery; upper floors without lifts and restricted parking can also affect fitting cost.

Common questions in Gloucestershire
Do you cover Cheltenham?
Yes. We survey, supply and fit stairwell fire doors throughout Cheltenham and the rest of Gloucestershire, including GL50 and nearby Tewkesbury.
Will I get certificates for the doors fitted in Cheltenham?
Every doorset is listed in your handover pack with the manufacturer's certificate reference, plus an installation record and photos.
Can you work around tenants or staff in Cheltenham?
Yes. We phase work in occupied buildings and keep escape routes available. Each door is planned to be removed and replaced the same day; if that isn't possible, the opening is made secure and we tell you in advance.
Can stair doors have locks?
Only escape hardware that allows instant exit without a key in the direction of escape.
