Getting security fire doors fitted in Scarborough
If your fire risk assessment in Scarborough has flagged doors to replace, we can schedule, quote and fit fire and security rated doorsets to match its recommendations. Surveys in YO12 are free and quotes are fixed and itemised.
Where possible we combine Scarborough surveys with other visits in North Yorkshire, such as Bridlington and Beverley, which helps keep survey dates flexible.
What the law says in Scarborough
Fire doors in Scarborough sit under English rules: Approved Document B sets what goes in, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 covers keeping doors effective in non-domestic premises and shared parts of residential buildings, and the 2022 regulations require regular door checks in residential buildings taller than 11 metres. Higher-risk buildings — 18 metres or seven storeys with two or more homes — also come under the Building Safety Act 2022.
Cost of security fire doors in North Yorkshire
Expect roughly £1,600–£3,500 per single doorset for security fire doors, fitted, ex VAT. Your Scarborough quote is fixed after survey and itemised door by door.
We show each door's price separately, so if budget is tight you can phase the work and start with the doors your fire risk assessment prioritises.
