Security fire doors in Colne

Our Colne supply and fit service

Need security fire doors in Colne? We supply and fit complete certified doorsets across Lancashire, starting with a free measure survey in and around BB8. Every quote lists each door, its rating and the manufacturer's certificate reference, so you know exactly what is going in before anything is ordered.

Where possible we combine Colne surveys with other visits in Lancashire, such as Nelson and Burnley, which helps keep survey dates flexible.

Regulations for security fire doors in Lancashire

In Colne, as across England, Approved Document B governs new work and the Fire Safety Order 2005 governs existing premises. Note that Approved Document B is removing the BS 476 fire-resistance test references on 2 September 2029, so specifications are moving to EN classifications such as E30 Sa.

Security fire doors prices in Colne

Guide prices for security fire doors in Colne run from about £1,600 to £3,500 per single doorset, supplied and fitted, ex VAT. Size, glazing, finish and ironmongery move the price, and the survey quote is fixed.

Each quote covers the certified doorset, standard ironmongery, fitting, removal of the old door and a handover record; anything outside that scope is shown as a separate line before you accept.

Questions about security fire doors in Colne

Can you work around tenants or staff in Colne?

Yes. We phase work in occupied buildings and keep escape routes available. Each door is planned to be removed and replaced the same day; if that isn't possible, the opening is made secure and we tell you in advance.

Do you remove the old doors?

Yes. Removal and disposal of the old door and frame is included when we replace a doorset in Colne.

Is the survey in Colne free?

Yes. We measure and schedule your doors at no cost and send a fixed, itemised quote.

Can any fire door be made secure?

Adding security hardware to a fire door without evidence can void its fire rating. Choose a doorset certified for both.
