Getting school fire doors fitted in Hoddesdon
We fit fire doors for schools, surgeries and care homes in Hoddesdon and the rest of Hertfordshire. The process is simple: we survey and measure each opening, propose a certified doorset for it, and give you a fixed price. Fitting is booked once the doorsets are made, usually with no door left out of action overnight.
Our Hertfordshire coverage includes Hoddesdon and its neighbours Hertford, Cheshunt and Waltham Abbey; tell us your postcode and preferred dates and we'll confirm a survey slot.
Which rules apply in Hoddesdon?
Because Hoddesdon is in England, the starting point is Approved Document B for the specification and the Fire Safety Order 2005 for ongoing duties. Blocks with a storey above 11 metres also fall under regulation 10 of the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022: communal fire doors checked at least every three months, flat front doors at least every year.
Cost of school fire doors in Hertfordshire
Budget around £1,100 to £2,400 per doorset for school fire doors supplied and fitted in Hoddesdon, excluding VAT. We price each opening separately so nothing is hidden in a lump sum.
The biggest price drivers are leaf size, glazing, finish and ironmongery; upper floors without lifts and restricted parking can also affect fitting cost.
