Regulations for glazed fire doors in Wiltshire

Because Trowbridge is in England, the starting point is Approved Document B for the specification and the Fire Safety Order 2005 for ongoing duties. Blocks with a storey above 11 metres also fall under regulation 10 of the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022: communal fire doors checked at least every three months, flat front doors at least every year.

Guide prices in Trowbridge

Expect roughly £950–£1,700 per single doorset for glazed fire doors, fitted, ex VAT. Your Trowbridge quote is fixed after survey and itemised door by door.

We show each door's price separately, so if budget is tight you can phase the work and start with the doors your fire risk assessment prioritises.

Your questions answered

Do you work for landlords and managing agents in Trowbridge?

Yes. We can schedule doors flat by flat, send quotes per property and invoice the managing agent or freeholder.

Is the survey in Trowbridge free?

Yes. We measure and schedule your doors at no cost and send a fixed, itemised quote.

Can you work around tenants or staff in Trowbridge?

Yes. We phase work in occupied buildings and keep escape routes available. Each door is planned to be removed and replaced the same day; if that isn't possible, the opening is made secure and we tell you in advance.

Is wired glass still used?

Rarely now. Modern clear fire-resistant glass gives much better visibility.
