Glazed fire doors in Fareham

Glazed fire doors in Fareham: how we work

Looking for glazed fire doors in Fareham? Our supply and fit service covers PO16 and the surrounding area, including Gosport and Portsmouth. We quote complete doorsets — leaf, frame, seals, hinges and closer — because that is what the fire certification actually covers.

Where possible we combine Fareham surveys with other visits in Hampshire, such as Gosport and Portsmouth, which helps keep survey dates flexible.

Which rules apply in Fareham?

In Fareham, as across England, Approved Document B governs new work and the Fire Safety Order 2005 governs existing premises. Note that Approved Document B is removing the BS 476 fire-resistance test references on 2 September 2029, so specifications are moving to EN classifications such as E30 Sa.

What do glazed fire doors cost in Fareham?

Our guide price for glazed fire doors in Fareham is £950 to £1,700 per single doorset including fitting, ex VAT. Non-standard sizes, veneers, vision panels and access control push towards the top of the range.

Made-to-measure sizes for older openings, vision panels and upgraded hardware are the usual reasons a door sits towards the top of the range.

Which rules do glazed fire doors in Fareham need to meet?

They are specified to Approved Document B (England) and your fire risk assessment or fire strategy. We confirm the rating of each door at survey.

Is the survey in Fareham free?

Yes. We measure and schedule your doors at no cost and send a fixed, itemised quote.

Does fire glass need to be safety glass too?

In low-level and door glazing, yes — many fire glasses also meet impact safety classes.
