Fire door rules in Carshalton

In Carshalton, as across England, Approved Document B governs new work and the Fire Safety Order 2005 governs existing premises. Note that Approved Document B is removing the BS 476 fire-resistance test references on 2 September 2029, so specifications are moving to EN classifications such as E30 Sa.

Cost of glazed fire doors in Greater London

Budget around £950 to £1,700 per single doorset for glazed fire doors supplied and fitted in Carshalton, excluding VAT. We price each opening separately so nothing is hidden in a lump sum.

Central and inner London work can cost a little more where parking, loading restrictions or out-of-hours access apply; we show any access costs as a separate line.

Made-to-measure sizes for older openings, vision panels and upgraded hardware are the usual reasons a door sits towards the top of the range.

Common questions in Greater London

Can you work around tenants or staff in Carshalton?

Yes. We phase work in occupied buildings and keep escape routes available. Each door is planned to be removed and replaced the same day; if that isn't possible, the opening is made secure and we tell you in advance.

How quickly can you survey in Carshalton?

We arrange surveys around your access needs and, where possible, combine Carshalton visits with other work in Greater London. Tell us your preferred dates when you enquire.

What does a Carshalton quote include?

Survey, certified doorset, ironmongery, installation, removal of old doors and a handover pack. VAT is added at the standard rate.

Can I replace broken fire glass myself?

It must be replaced with the same glass type and glazing system. We can supply and fit replacement glazing for doorsets we install.
