Your questions answered
Do you remove the old doors?
Yes. Removal and disposal of the old door and frame is included when we replace a doorset in Sutton-in-Ashfield.
Can you work around tenants or staff in Sutton-in-Ashfield?
Yes. We phase work in occupied buildings and keep escape routes available. Each door is planned to be removed and replaced the same day; if that isn't possible, the opening is made secure and we tell you in advance.
How quickly can you survey in Sutton-in-Ashfield?
We arrange surveys around your access needs and, where possible, combine Sutton-in-Ashfield visits with other work in Nottinghamshire. Tell us your preferred dates when you enquire.
Does a fanlight above a fire door need to be fire-rated?
Yes, if it is part of the fire-resisting wall or door assembly. Ordinary glass above a fire door defeats the door.
