Fire doors in Sittingbourne sit under English rules: Approved Document B sets what goes in, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 covers keeping doors effective in non-domestic premises and shared parts of residential buildings, and the 2022 regulations require regular door checks in residential buildings taller than 11 metres. Higher-risk buildings — 18 metres or seven storeys with two or more homes — also come under the Building Safety Act 2022.

Questions about fire rated glazed screens in Sittingbourne
Will I get certificates for the doors fitted in Sittingbourne?
Every doorset is listed in your handover pack with the manufacturer's certificate reference, plus an installation record and photos.
Can you fit just one door in Sittingbourne?
Yes — from a single door to a full building. Where possible, small jobs are scheduled alongside other visits in Kent.
Do you remove the old doors?
Yes. Removal and disposal of the old door and frame is included when we replace a doorset in Sittingbourne.
Does a fanlight above a fire door need to be fire-rated?
Yes, if it is part of the fire-resisting wall or door assembly. Ordinary glass above a fire door defeats the door.
