Regulations for fire rated glazed screens in Kent
New and replacement fire doors in Ramsgate are specified under the Building Regulations 2010 and Approved Document B. In workplaces and the common parts of blocks of flats, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 makes the responsible person keep fire doors in working order, and in residential buildings with a storey above 11 metres regulation 10 of the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022 adds quarterly checks of communal doors and annual checks of flat entrance doors.
Fire rated glazed screens prices in Ramsgate
Budget around £1,400 to £4,500 per screen for fire rated glazed screens supplied and fitted in Ramsgate, excluding VAT. We price each opening separately so nothing is hidden in a lump sum.
The biggest price drivers are leaf size, glazing, finish and ironmongery; upper floors without lifts and restricted parking can also affect fitting cost.

Common questions in Kent
How quickly can you survey in Ramsgate?
We arrange surveys around your access needs and, where possible, combine Ramsgate visits with other work in Kent. Tell us your preferred dates when you enquire.
Do you cover Ramsgate?
Yes. We survey, supply and fit fire rated glazed screens throughout Ramsgate and the rest of Kent, including CT11 and nearby Broadstairs.
Will I get certificates for the doors fitted in Ramsgate?
Every doorset is listed in your handover pack with the manufacturer's certificate reference, plus an installation record and photos.
Does a fanlight above a fire door need to be fire-rated?
Yes, if it is part of the fire-resisting wall or door assembly. Ordinary glass above a fire door defeats the door.
