Our Morden supply and fit service
Need fire rated glazed screens in Morden? We supply and fit complete certified doorsets across Greater London, starting with a free measure survey in and around SM4. Every quote lists each door, its rating and the manufacturer's certificate reference, so you know exactly what is going in before anything is ordered.
Morden is about 8 miles from London. Wherever your building is in SM4, we arrange survey and fitting dates around access and occupancy.
Fire door rules in Morden
In Morden, as across England, Approved Document B governs new work and the Fire Safety Order 2005 governs existing premises. Note that Approved Document B is removing the BS 476 fire-resistance test references on 2 September 2029, so specifications are moving to EN classifications such as E30 Sa.
Fire rated glazed screens prices in Morden
Guide prices for fire rated glazed screens in Morden run from about £1,400 to £4,500 per screen, supplied and fitted, ex VAT. Size, glazing, finish and ironmongery move the price, and the survey quote is fixed.
Central and inner London work can cost a little more where parking, loading restrictions or out-of-hours access apply; we show any access costs as a separate line.
Each quote covers the certified doorset, standard ironmongery, fitting, removal of the old door and a handover record; anything outside that scope is shown as a separate line before you accept.
Where fire rated glazed screens are needed
In Morden, fire rated glazed screens are typically needed in doors with fanlights and corridor borrowed lights.
London has the UK's largest concentration of purpose-built flats and high-rise residential blocks, so flat entrance doors, communal corridor doors and regulation 10 checks drive much of the demand.
- Doors with fanlights
- Corridor borrowed lights
- Reception and lobby screens

Questions about fire rated glazed screens in Morden
Do you cover Morden?
Yes. We survey, supply and fit fire rated glazed screens throughout Morden and the rest of Greater London, including SM4 and nearby Mitcham.
Do you remove the old doors?
Yes. Removal and disposal of the old door and frame is included when we replace a doorset in Morden.
Will I get certificates for the doors fitted in Morden?
Every doorset is listed in your handover pack with the manufacturer's certificate reference, plus an installation record and photos.
Does a fanlight above a fire door need to be fire-rated?
Yes, if it is part of the fire-resisting wall or door assembly. Ordinary glass above a fire door defeats the door.
