Our Battersea supply and fit service
Fire Rated Doors supplies and fits fire rated glazed screens in Battersea, Greater London. Whether it's a single replacement or every door in a block, we start by surveying the openings and end with a handover pack listing each doorset and its certificate reference.
Whether your building is in central Battersea or on its edges towards Chelsea, survey and fitting dates are arranged around your access needs, with occupied buildings worked in planned phases.
Fire door rules in Battersea
In Battersea, as across England, Approved Document B governs new work and the Fire Safety Order 2005 governs existing premises. Note that Approved Document B is removing the BS 476 fire-resistance test references on 2 September 2029, so specifications are moving to EN classifications such as E30 Sa.
Guide prices in Battersea
Budget around £1,400 to £4,500 per screen for fire rated glazed screens supplied and fitted in Battersea, excluding VAT. We price each opening separately so nothing is hidden in a lump sum.
Central and inner London work can cost a little more where parking, loading restrictions or out-of-hours access apply; we show any access costs as a separate line.
Made-to-measure sizes for older openings, vision panels and upgraded hardware are the usual reasons a door sits towards the top of the range.
Where fire rated glazed screens are used in Battersea
Typical uses for fire rated glazed screens in Battersea include reception and lobby screens and stair enclosure screens.
London has the UK's largest concentration of purpose-built flats and high-rise residential blocks, so flat entrance doors, communal corridor doors and regulation 10 checks drive much of the demand.

Yes. We phase work in occupied buildings and keep escape routes available. Each door is planned to be removed and replaced the same day; if that isn't possible, the opening is made secure and we tell you in advance.
