Fire rated glazed screens in Consett: questions
How quickly can you survey in Consett?
We arrange surveys around your access needs and, where possible, combine Consett visits with other work in County Durham. Tell us your preferred dates when you enquire.
Can you work around tenants or staff in Consett?
Yes. We phase work in occupied buildings and keep escape routes available. Each door is planned to be removed and replaced the same day; if that isn't possible, the opening is made secure and we tell you in advance.
Which rules do fire rated glazed screens in Consett need to meet?
They are specified to Approved Document B (England) and your fire risk assessment or fire strategy. We confirm the rating of each door at survey.
Can screens be added to an existing fire door?
Only as part of a tested or assessed assembly. Usually the door and screen are replaced together.
