Fire exit doors in Fareham: questions

Do you cover Fareham?

Yes. We survey, supply and fit fire exit doors throughout Fareham and the rest of Hampshire, including PO16 and nearby Gosport.

Which rules do fire exit doors in Fareham need to meet?

They are specified to Approved Document B (England) and your fire risk assessment or fire strategy. We confirm the rating of each door at survey.

Can you work around tenants or staff in Fareham?

Yes. We phase work in occupied buildings and keep escape routes available. Each door is planned to be removed and replaced the same day; if that isn't possible, the opening is made secure and we tell you in advance.

Can a fire exit door be locked?

Not in a way that prevents instant exit without a key while the building is occupied. Panic and emergency exit hardware achieves security and escape together.
