Fire Door Supply & Fit for Hitchin buildings
Need fire door installation in Hitchin? We supply and fit complete certified doorsets across Hertfordshire, starting with a free measure survey in and around SG6. Every quote lists each door, its rating and the manufacturer's certificate reference, so you know exactly what is going in before anything is ordered.
Whether your building is in central Hitchin or on its edges towards Letchworth Garden City, survey and fitting dates are arranged around your access needs, with occupied buildings worked in planned phases.
What the law says in Hitchin
Because Hitchin is in England, the starting point is Approved Document B for the specification and the Fire Safety Order 2005 for ongoing duties. Blocks with a storey above 11 metres also fall under regulation 10 of the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022: communal fire doors checked at least every three months, flat front doors at least every year.
What do fire door installation cost in Hitchin?
Expect roughly £750–£1,150 per FD30 doorset for fire door installation, fitted, ex VAT. Your Hitchin quote is fixed after survey and itemised door by door.
Guide prices assume straightforward access; out-of-hours working or difficult access is priced as a separate, visible line.
