FD30S Smoke Control Doorsets for Bentley buildings
For landlords, managing agents, businesses and homeowners in Bentley, we provide FD30S smoke control doorsets for flats, stairs and corridors with one fixed quote. A free survey comes first, then a door-by-door schedule, then installation to the manufacturer's instructions and a handover pack for your records.
Our South Yorkshire coverage includes Bentley and its neighbours Doncaster, Rotherham and Pontefract; tell us your postcode and preferred dates and we'll confirm a survey slot.
Which rules apply in Bentley?
Fire doors in Bentley sit under English rules: Approved Document B sets what goes in, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 covers keeping doors effective in non-domestic premises and shared parts of residential buildings, and the 2022 regulations require regular door checks in residential buildings taller than 11 metres. Higher-risk buildings — 18 metres or seven storeys with two or more homes — also come under the Building Safety Act 2022.

Budget around £800 to £1,250 per single doorset for FD30S fire doors supplied and fitted in Bentley, excluding VAT. We price each opening separately so nothing is hidden in a lump sum.
We show each door's price separately, so if budget is tight you can phase the work and start with the doors your fire risk assessment prioritises.

FD30S fire doors in Bentley: questions
Is the survey in Bentley free?
Yes. We measure and schedule your doors at no cost and send a fixed, itemised quote.
Can you work around tenants or staff in Bentley?
Yes. We phase work in occupied buildings and keep escape routes available. Each door is planned to be removed and replaced the same day; if that isn't possible, the opening is made secure and we tell you in advance.
What does a Bentley quote include?
Survey, certified doorset, ironmongery, installation, removal of old doors and a handover pack. VAT is added at the standard rate.
Is a threshold seal needed?
It depends on the doorset's test evidence. Some FD30S doorsets need a drop-down or threshold seal; others control smoke with a set threshold gap.
