Fitting is booked once the doorsets are made, usually with no door left out of action overnight.

FD30 fire doors in Swadlincote: questions

Can you work around tenants or staff in Swadlincote?

Yes. We phase work in occupied buildings and keep escape routes available. Each door is planned to be removed and replaced the same day; if that isn't possible, the opening is made secure and we tell you in advance.

Will I get certificates for the doors fitted in Swadlincote?

Every doorset is listed in your handover pack with the manufacturer's certificate reference, plus an installation record and photos.

Which rules do FD30 fire doors in Swadlincote need to meet?

They are specified to Approved Document B (England) and your fire risk assessment or fire strategy. We confirm the rating of each door at survey.

Is FD30 the same as E30?

Broadly, yes. FD30 comes from the British test (BS 476-22); E30 is the European classification from BS EN 1634-1. Both mean 30 minutes of integrity. EI30 adds insulation, which some locations and glazed doors need.
