Our Beckenham supply and fit service
Fire Rated Doors supplies and fits double fire doors in Beckenham, Greater London. Whether it's a single replacement or every door in a block, we start by surveying the openings and end with a handover pack listing each doorset and its certificate reference.
Beckenham is about 8 miles from London; we cover both, along with Catford, Croydon and Blackheath.
What the law says in Beckenham
Because Beckenham is in England, the starting point is Approved Document B for the specification and the Fire Safety Order 2005 for ongoing duties. Blocks with a storey above 11 metres also fall under regulation 10 of the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022: communal fire doors checked at least every three months, flat front doors at least every year.
What do double fire doors cost in Beckenham?
Budget around £1,600 to £3,400 per pair for double fire doors supplied and fitted in Beckenham, excluding VAT. We price each opening separately so nothing is hidden in a lump sum.
Central and inner London work can cost a little more where parking, loading restrictions or out-of-hours access apply; we show any access costs as a separate line.
Made-to-measure sizes for older openings, vision panels and upgraded hardware are the usual reasons a door sits towards the top of the range.
Buildings that need double fire doors
Typical uses for double fire doors in Beckenham include care and hospital routes and cross-corridor openings.
London has the UK's largest concentration of purpose-built flats and high-rise residential blocks, so flat entrance doors, communal corridor doors and regulation 10 checks drive much of the demand.
- Care and hospital routes
- Cross-corridor openings
- Wide risers
- Plant room access
