Composite fire doors in Plymouth: how we work

Need composite fire doors in Plymouth? We supply and fit complete certified doorsets across Devon, starting with a free measure survey in and around PL1. Every quote lists each door, its rating and the manufacturer's certificate reference, so you know exactly what is going in before anything is ordered.

Plymouth is one of the main towns we cover in Devon; tell us your dates and we'll arrange a survey.

Regulations for composite fire doors in Devon

Because Plymouth is in England, the starting point is Approved Document B for the specification and the Fire Safety Order 2005 for ongoing duties. Blocks with a storey above 11 metres also fall under regulation 10 of the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022: communal fire doors checked at least every three months, flat front doors at least every year.

Composite fire doors prices in Plymouth

Guide prices for composite fire doors in Plymouth run from about £1,200 to £2,200 per door, supplied and fitted, ex VAT. Size, glazing, finish and ironmongery move the price, and the survey quote is fixed.

Guide prices assume straightforward access; out-of-hours working or difficult access is priced as a separate, visible line.

Your questions answered

Is the survey in Plymouth free?

Yes. We measure and schedule your doors at no cost and send a fixed, itemised quote.

Can you work around tenants or staff in Plymouth?

Yes. We phase work in occupied buildings and keep escape routes available. Each door is planned to be removed and replaced the same day; if that isn't possible, the opening is made secure and we tell you in advance.

Do you cover Plymouth?

Yes. We survey, supply and fit composite fire doors throughout Plymouth and the rest of Devon, including PL1 and nearby Plymstock.

Are composite fire doors safe?

A composite door with current third-party certification for its configuration is as reliable as any other certified fire door. Ask for the certificate reference — we provide it on every quote.
