Fire door rules in Kettering
Because Kettering is in England, the starting point is Approved Document B for the specification and the Fire Safety Order 2005 for ongoing duties. Blocks with a storey above 11 metres also fall under regulation 10 of the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022: communal fire doors checked at least every three months, flat front doors at least every year.
Commercial fire doors prices in Kettering
Budget around £850 to £1,500 per single doorset for commercial fire doors supplied and fitted in Kettering, excluding VAT. We price each opening separately so nothing is hidden in a lump sum.

Common questions in Northamptonshire
How quickly can you survey in Kettering?
We arrange surveys around your access needs and, where possible, combine Kettering visits with other work in Northamptonshire. Tell us your preferred dates when you enquire.
Do you remove the old doors?
Yes. Removal and disposal of the old door and frame is included when we replace a doorset in Kettering.
Can you work around tenants or staff in Kettering?
Yes. We phase work in occupied buildings and keep escape routes available. Each door is planned to be removed and replaced the same day; if that isn't possible, the opening is made secure and we tell you in advance.
Can I add access control to my fire doors?
Yes, using hardware covered by the doorset's evidence. Retro-fitting untested components can void certification.
