Fire door rules in Arnold
New and replacement fire doors in Arnold are specified under the Building Regulations 2010 and Approved Document B. In workplaces and the common parts of blocks of flats, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 makes the responsible person keep fire doors in working order, and in residential buildings with a storey above 11 metres regulation 10 of the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022 adds quarterly checks of communal doors and annual checks of flat entrance doors.
Nottingham's city-centre apartments and two universities create strong demand, with Mansfield and the market towns adding industrial and care settings.

Which rules do fire doors in Arnold need to meet?
They are specified to Approved Document B (England) and your fire risk assessment or fire strategy. We confirm the rating of each door at survey.

Yes. We phase work in occupied buildings and keep escape routes available. Each door is planned to be removed and replaced the same day; if that isn't possible, the opening is made secure and we tell you in advance.
Will I get certificates for the doors fitted in Arnold?
Every doorset is listed in your handover pack with the manufacturer's certificate reference, plus an installation record and photos.
How quickly can you survey in Arnold?
We arrange surveys around your access needs and, where possible, combine Arnold visits with other work in Nottinghamshire. Tell us your preferred dates when you enquire.
