Questions about fire doors in Carrickfergus
Do you remove the old doors?
Yes. Removal and disposal of the old door and frame is included when we replace a doorset in Carrickfergus.
How quickly can you survey in Carrickfergus?
We arrange surveys around your access needs and, where possible, combine Carrickfergus visits with other work in County Antrim. Tell us your preferred dates when you enquire.
Can you work around tenants or staff in Carrickfergus?
Yes. We phase work in occupied buildings and keep escape routes available. Each door is planned to be removed and replaced the same day; if that isn't possible, the opening is made secure and we tell you in advance.
Which rules do fire doors in Carrickfergus need to meet?
They are specified to Technical Booklet E (Northern Ireland) and your fire risk assessment or fire strategy. We confirm the rating of each door at survey.
