Acoustic fire doors in Lancaster

Our Lancaster supply and fit service

Fire Rated Doors supplies and fits acoustic fire doors in Lancaster, Lancashire. Whether it's a single replacement or every door in a block, we start by surveying the openings and end with a handover pack listing each doorset and its certificate reference.

Lancaster is about 20 miles from Preston; we cover both, along with Morecambe, Fleetwood and Thornton-Cleveleys.

Which rules apply in Lancaster?

In Lancaster, as across England, Approved Document B governs new work and the Fire Safety Order 2005 governs existing premises. Note that Approved Document B is removing the BS 476 fire-resistance test references on 2 September 2029, so specifications are moving to EN classifications such as E30 Sa.

Acoustic fire doors in Lancaster: questions

How quickly can you survey in Lancaster?

We arrange surveys around your access needs and, where possible, combine Lancaster visits with other work in Lancashire. Tell us your preferred dates when you enquire.

Can you work around tenants or staff in Lancaster?

Yes. We phase work in occupied buildings and keep escape routes available. Each door is planned to be removed and replaced the same day; if that isn't possible, the opening is made secure and we tell you in advance.

Do you cover Lancaster?

Yes. We survey, supply and fit acoustic fire doors throughout Lancaster and the rest of Lancashire, including LA1 and nearby Morecambe.

Can existing doors be made acoustic?

Seals can help a little, but significant improvement normally needs an acoustic doorset.
