Timber Fire Doorsets for Shipley buildings
Looking for timber fire doors in Shipley? Our supply and fit service covers BD18 and the surrounding area, including Bradford and Guiseley. We quote complete doorsets — leaf, frame, seals, hinges and closer — because that is what the fire certification actually covers.
Shipley is about 9 miles from Leeds. Wherever your building is in BD18, we arrange survey and fitting dates around access and occupancy.
What the law says in Shipley
Because Shipley is in England, the starting point is Approved Document B for the specification and the Fire Safety Order 2005 for ongoing duties. Blocks with a storey above 11 metres also fall under regulation 10 of the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022: communal fire doors checked at least every three months, flat front doors at least every year.
Timber fire doors prices in Shipley
Our guide for timber fire doors is £750–£1,600 per single doorset fitted, ex VAT. Quotes for Shipley are fixed once we've measured, and include removing and disposing of old doors where they're being replaced.

Timber fire doors in Shipley: questions
How quickly can you survey in Shipley?
We arrange surveys around your access needs and, where possible, combine Shipley visits with other work in West Yorkshire. Tell us your preferred dates when you enquire.
Can you work around tenants or staff in Shipley?
Yes. We phase work in occupied buildings and keep escape routes available. Each door is planned to be removed and replaced the same day; if that isn't possible, the opening is made secure and we tell you in advance.
Do you work for landlords and managing agents in Shipley?
Yes. We can schedule doors flat by flat, send quotes per property and invoice the managing agent or freeholder.
Can I paint a timber fire door?
Yes — but never paint over intumescent or smoke seals.
