Certified timber fire doors for Hatfield
Need timber fire doors in Hatfield? We supply and fit complete certified doorsets across Hertfordshire, starting with a free measure survey in and around AL10. Every quote lists each door, its rating and the manufacturer's certificate reference, so you know exactly what is going in before anything is ordered.
Where possible we combine Hatfield surveys with other visits in Hertfordshire, such as Welwyn Garden City and St Albans, which helps keep survey dates flexible.
Fire door rules in Hatfield
In Hatfield, as across England, Approved Document B governs new work and the Fire Safety Order 2005 governs existing premises. Note that Approved Document B is removing the BS 476 fire-resistance test references on 2 September 2029, so specifications are moving to EN classifications such as E30 Sa.
Timber fire doors prices in Hatfield
Guide prices for timber fire doors in Hatfield run from about £750 to £1,600 per single doorset, supplied and fitted, ex VAT. Size, glazing, finish and ironmongery move the price, and the survey quote is fixed.
The biggest price drivers are leaf size, glazing, finish and ironmongery; upper floors without lifts and restricted parking can also affect fitting cost.
