Our Northwich supply and fit service
We fit timber fire doorsets in paint, laminate and veneer in Northwich and the rest of Cheshire. The process is simple: we survey and measure each opening, propose a certified doorset for it, and give you a fixed price. Fitting is booked once the doorsets are made, usually with no door left out of action overnight.
We cover CW9 and the surrounding area, including Winsford. Tell us your postcode and preferred dates and we'll confirm a survey slot.
What the law says in Northwich
New and replacement fire doors in Northwich are specified under the Building Regulations 2010 and Approved Document B. In workplaces and the common parts of blocks of flats, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 makes the responsible person keep fire doors in working order, and in residential buildings with a storey above 11 metres regulation 10 of the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022 adds quarterly checks of communal doors and annual checks of flat entrance doors.
Cost of timber fire doors in Cheshire
Expect roughly £750–£1,600 per single doorset for timber fire doors, fitted, ex VAT. Your Northwich quote is fixed after survey and itemised door by door.
Made-to-measure sizes for older openings, vision panels and upgraded hardware are the usual reasons a door sits towards the top of the range.
Buildings that need timber fire doors
Schools and care homes and period buildings needing bespoke sizes are among the most common settings for timber fire doors, in Northwich as elsewhere.

Timber fire doors in Northwich: questions
Do you work for landlords and managing agents in Northwich?
Yes. We can schedule doors flat by flat, send quotes per property and invoice the managing agent or freeholder.
Can you work around tenants or staff in Northwich?
Yes. We phase work in occupied buildings and keep escape routes available. Each door is planned to be removed and replaced the same day; if that isn't possible, the opening is made secure and we tell you in advance.
Do you cover Northwich?
Yes. We survey, supply and fit timber fire doors throughout Northwich and the rest of Cheshire, including CW9 and nearby Winsford.
Can a timber fire door be trimmed on site?
Only within the limits the manufacturer's evidence allows, usually a few millimetres. We prefer made-to-measure doorsets so no trimming is needed.
