Stairwell fire doors in Hemel Hempstead: questions
Can you work around tenants or staff in Hemel Hempstead?
Yes. We phase work in occupied buildings and keep escape routes available. Each door is planned to be removed and replaced the same day; if that isn't possible, the opening is made secure and we tell you in advance.
Do you cover Hemel Hempstead?
Yes. We survey, supply and fit stairwell fire doors throughout Hemel Hempstead and the rest of Hertfordshire, including HP2 and nearby Berkhamsted.
Will I get certificates for the doors fitted in Hemel Hempstead?
Every doorset is listed in your handover pack with the manufacturer's certificate reference, plus an installation record and photos.
Which way should an escape door open?
In the direction of escape where the number of people using it is high — Approved Document B sets the thresholds. Many small-occupancy doors can open either way.
