Security fire doors in Neath

Security fire doors in Neath: how we work

Getting security fire doors right in Neath means choosing a certified doorset for each opening and fitting it exactly as tested. That's the whole service: survey, schedule, certified doorset, careful installation and the paperwork to prove it.

Neath is about 7 miles from Swansea; we cover both, along with Briton Ferry, Swansea and Maesteg.

Which rules apply in Neath?

Wales issues its own version of Approved Document B, so new and replacement fire doors in Neath are specified against the Welsh guidance. The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 applies in Wales, covering workplaces and the common parts of multi-occupied residential buildings, including flat entrance doors.

Guide prices in Neath

Our guide price for security fire doors in Neath is £1,600 to £3,500 per single doorset including fitting, ex VAT. Non-standard sizes, veneers, vision panels and access control push towards the top of the range.

The biggest price drivers are leaf size, glazing, finish and ironmongery; upper floors without lifts and restricted parking can also affect fitting cost.

Questions about security fire doors in Neath

Can you work around tenants or staff in Neath?

Yes. We phase work in occupied buildings and keep escape routes available. Each door is planned to be removed and replaced the same day; if that isn't possible, the opening is made secure and we tell you in advance.

How quickly can you survey in Neath?

We arrange surveys around your access needs and, where possible, combine Neath visits with other work in West Glamorgan. Tell us your preferred dates when you enquire.

Do you work for landlords and managing agents in Neath?

Yes. We can schedule doors flat by flat, send quotes per property and invoice the managing agent or freeholder.

Can any fire door be made secure?

Adding security hardware to a fire door without evidence can void its fire rating. Choose a doorset certified for both.
