Certified security fire doors for Ely
Looking for security fire doors in Ely? Our supply and fit service covers CB6 and the surrounding area, including Newmarket and March. We quote complete doorsets — leaf, frame, seals, hinges and closer — because that is what the fire certification actually covers.
Ely is about 25 miles from Peterborough. Wherever your building is in CB6, we arrange survey and fitting dates around access and occupancy.
Which rules apply in Ely?
New and replacement fire doors in Ely are specified under the Building Regulations 2010 and Approved Document B. In workplaces and the common parts of blocks of flats, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 makes the responsible person keep fire doors in working order, and in residential buildings with a storey above 11 metres regulation 10 of the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022 adds quarterly checks of communal doors and annual checks of flat entrance doors.
Guide prices in Ely
Guide prices for security fire doors in Ely run from about £1,600 to £3,500 per single doorset, supplied and fitted, ex VAT. Size, glazing, finish and ironmongery move the price, and the survey quote is fixed.
The biggest price drivers are leaf size, glazing, finish and ironmongery; upper floors without lifts and restricted parking can also affect fitting cost.
