What the law says in Swadlincote
In Swadlincote, as across England, Approved Document B governs new work and the Fire Safety Order 2005 governs existing premises. Note that Approved Document B is removing the BS 476 fire-resistance test references on 2 September 2029, so specifications are moving to EN classifications such as E30 Sa.

How quickly can you survey in Swadlincote?
We arrange surveys around your access needs and, where possible, combine Swadlincote visits with other work in Derbyshire. Tell us your preferred dates when you enquire.

Yes. We survey, supply and fit school fire doors throughout Swadlincote and the rest of Derbyshire, including DE11 and nearby Burton upon Trent.
Can you work around tenants or staff in Swadlincote?
Yes. We phase work in occupied buildings and keep escape routes available. Each door is planned to be removed and replaced the same day; if that isn't possible, the opening is made secure and we tell you in advance.
Can we stop staff wedging fire doors open?
Alarm-linked hold-open devices or free-swing closers remove the need to wedge doors and close them automatically in a fire.
