Our Huddersfield supply and fit service
We fit FD30S flat entrance doors for blocks of flats in Huddersfield and the rest of West Yorkshire. The process is simple: we survey and measure each opening, propose a certified doorset for it, and give you a fixed price. Fitting is booked once the doorsets are made, usually with no door left out of action overnight.
Huddersfield is about 14 miles from Leeds; we cover both, along with Brighouse, Halifax and Cleckheaton.
What the law says in Huddersfield
Fire doors in Huddersfield sit under English rules: Approved Document B sets what goes in, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 covers keeping doors effective in non-domestic premises and shared parts of residential buildings, and the 2022 regulations require regular door checks in residential buildings taller than 11 metres. Higher-risk buildings — 18 metres or seven storeys with two or more homes — also come under the Building Safety Act 2022.
Flat entrance fire doors prices in Huddersfield
Budget around £1,250 to £2,300 per door for flat entrance fire doors supplied and fitted in Huddersfield, excluding VAT. We price each opening separately so nothing is hidden in a lump sum.
Guide prices assume straightforward access; out-of-hours working or difficult access is priced as a separate, visible line.
Where flat entrance fire doors are needed
Converted buildings with shared stairs and blocks of flats are among the most common settings for flat entrance fire doors, in Huddersfield as elsewhere.
Leeds and Bradford lead West Yorkshire's demand with city-centre apartments, student housing and converted mills across the Pennine towns.

Questions about flat entrance fire doors in Huddersfield
Will I get certificates for the doors fitted in Huddersfield?
Every doorset is listed in your handover pack with the manufacturer's certificate reference, plus an installation record and photos.
Do you cover Huddersfield?
Yes. We survey, supply and fit flat entrance fire doors throughout Huddersfield and the rest of West Yorkshire, including HD1 and nearby Brighouse.
Can you fit just one door in Huddersfield?
Yes — from a single door to a full building. Where possible, small jobs are scheduled alongside other visits in West Yorkshire.
Can I fit my own new front door to my flat?
Only with a doorset that meets the building's fire and smoke requirements, and usually with the freeholder's consent. A non-compliant replacement can put the whole building at risk.
