Regulations for fire rated glazed screens in Kent
Fire doors in Folkestone sit under English rules: Approved Document B sets what goes in, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 covers keeping doors effective in non-domestic premises and shared parts of residential buildings, and the 2022 regulations require regular door checks in residential buildings taller than 11 metres. Higher-risk buildings — 18 metres or seven storeys with two or more homes — also come under the Building Safety Act 2022.
Cost of fire rated glazed screens in Kent
Expect roughly £1,400–£4,500 per screen for fire rated glazed screens, fitted, ex VAT. Your Folkestone quote is fixed after survey and itemised door by door.
The biggest price drivers are leaf size, glazing, finish and ironmongery; upper floors without lifts and restricted parking can also affect fitting cost.
