Fire-Rated Screens & Fanlights for Heywood buildings
We fit fire-rated glazed screens and fanlights in Heywood and the rest of Greater Manchester. The process is simple: we survey and measure each opening, propose a certified doorset for it, and give you a fixed price. Fitting is booked once the doorsets are made, usually with no door left out of action overnight.
Whether your building is in central Heywood or on its edges towards Middleton, survey and fitting dates are arranged around your access needs, with occupied buildings worked in planned phases.
Regulations for fire rated glazed screens in Greater Manchester
Because Heywood is in England, the starting point is Approved Document B for the specification and the Fire Safety Order 2005 for ongoing duties. Blocks with a storey above 11 metres also fall under regulation 10 of the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022: communal fire doors checked at least every three months, flat front doors at least every year.
Fire rated glazed screens prices in Heywood
Our guide for fire rated glazed screens is £1,400–£4,500 per screen fitted, ex VAT. Quotes for Heywood are fixed once we've measured, and include removing and disposing of old doors where they're being replaced.
Made-to-measure sizes for older openings, vision panels and upgraded hardware are the usual reasons a door sits towards the top of the range.

Your questions answered
Do you work for landlords and managing agents in Heywood?
Yes. We can schedule doors flat by flat, send quotes per property and invoice the managing agent or freeholder.
Which rules do fire rated glazed screens in Heywood need to meet?
They are specified to Approved Document B (England) and your fire risk assessment or fire strategy. We confirm the rating of each door at survey.
Do you cover Heywood?
Yes. We survey, supply and fit fire rated glazed screens throughout Heywood and the rest of Greater Manchester, including OL10 and nearby Middleton.
Does a fanlight above a fire door need to be fire-rated?
Yes, if it is part of the fire-resisting wall or door assembly. Ordinary glass above a fire door defeats the door.
