Certified fire rated glazed screens for Shepherd's Bush
Looking for fire rated glazed screens in Shepherd's Bush? Our supply and fit service covers W12 and the surrounding area, including Notting Hill and Chiswick. We quote complete doorsets — leaf, frame, seals, hinges and closer — because that is what the fire certification actually covers.
Where possible we combine Shepherd's Bush surveys with other visits in Greater London, such as Notting Hill and Chiswick, which helps keep survey dates flexible.
Regulations for fire rated glazed screens in Greater London
Because Shepherd's Bush is in England, the starting point is Approved Document B for the specification and the Fire Safety Order 2005 for ongoing duties. Blocks with a storey above 11 metres also fall under regulation 10 of the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022: communal fire doors checked at least every three months, flat front doors at least every year.
Cost of fire rated glazed screens in Greater London
Our guide price for fire rated glazed screens in Shepherd's Bush is £1,400 to £4,500 per screen including fitting, ex VAT. Non-standard sizes, veneers, vision panels and access control push towards the top of the range.
Central and inner London work can cost a little more where parking, loading restrictions or out-of-hours access apply; we show any access costs as a separate line.
The biggest price drivers are leaf size, glazing, finish and ironmongery; upper floors without lifts and restricted parking can also affect fitting cost.
Typical uses in Shepherd's Bush
In Shepherd's Bush, fire rated glazed screens are typically needed in stair enclosure screens and doors with fanlights.
London has the UK's largest concentration of purpose-built flats and high-rise residential blocks, so flat entrance doors, communal corridor doors and regulation 10 checks drive much of the demand.

Is the survey in Shepherd's Bush free?
Yes. We measure and schedule your doors at no cost and send a fixed, itemised quote.

Yes. We survey, supply and fit fire rated glazed screens throughout Shepherd's Bush and the rest of Greater London, including W12 and nearby Notting Hill.
Does a fanlight above a fire door need to be fire-rated?
Yes, if it is part of the fire-resisting wall or door assembly. Ordinary glass above a fire door defeats the door.
