Fire rated glazed screens in Northolt: how we work
For landlords, managing agents, businesses and homeowners in Northolt, we provide fire-rated glazed screens and fanlights with one fixed quote. A free survey comes first, then a door-by-door schedule, then installation to the manufacturer's instructions and a handover pack for your records.
Where possible we combine Northolt surveys with other visits in Greater London, such as Greenford and Harrow, which helps keep survey dates flexible.
Fire door rules in Northolt
In Northolt, as across England, Approved Document B governs new work and the Fire Safety Order 2005 governs existing premises. Note that Approved Document B is removing the BS 476 fire-resistance test references on 2 September 2029, so specifications are moving to EN classifications such as E30 Sa.
Guide prices in Northolt
Budget around £1,400 to £4,500 per screen for fire rated glazed screens supplied and fitted in Northolt, excluding VAT. We price each opening separately so nothing is hidden in a lump sum.
Central and inner London work can cost a little more where parking, loading restrictions or out-of-hours access apply; we show any access costs as a separate line.
Made-to-measure sizes for older openings, vision panels and upgraded hardware are the usual reasons a door sits towards the top of the range.
Where fire rated glazed screens are needed
Typical uses for fire rated glazed screens in Northolt include stair enclosure screens and corridor borrowed lights.
London has the UK's largest concentration of purpose-built flats and high-rise residential blocks, so flat entrance doors, communal corridor doors and regulation 10 checks drive much of the demand.
- Stair enclosure screens
- Corridor borrowed lights
- Reception and lobby screens
