Fire door rules in Finchley
In Finchley, as across England, Approved Document B governs new work and the Fire Safety Order 2005 governs existing premises. Note that Approved Document B is removing the BS 476 fire-resistance test references on 2 September 2029, so specifications are moving to EN classifications such as E30 Sa.
Fire rated glazed screens prices in Finchley
Expect roughly £1,400–£4,500 per screen for fire rated glazed screens, fitted, ex VAT. Your Finchley quote is fixed after survey and itemised door by door.
Central and inner London work can cost a little more where parking, loading restrictions or out-of-hours access apply; we show any access costs as a separate line.
Made-to-measure sizes for older openings, vision panels and upgraded hardware are the usual reasons a door sits towards the top of the range.
Buildings that need fire rated glazed screens
Corridor borrowed lights and doors with fanlights are among the most common settings for fire rated glazed screens, in Finchley as elsewhere.
London has the UK's largest concentration of purpose-built flats and high-rise residential blocks, so flat entrance doors, communal corridor doors and regulation 10 checks drive much of the demand.
- Corridor borrowed lights
- Doors with fanlights
