Fire-Rated Screens & Fanlights for Chalk Farm buildings
We fit fire-rated glazed screens and fanlights in Chalk Farm and the rest of Greater London. The process is simple: we survey and measure each opening, propose a certified doorset for it, and give you a fixed price. Fitting is booked once the doorsets are made, usually with no door left out of action overnight.
Our Greater London coverage includes Chalk Farm and its neighbours Camden Town, Holloway and Archway; tell us your postcode and preferred dates and we'll confirm a survey slot.
Which rules apply in Chalk Farm?
New and replacement fire doors in Chalk Farm are specified under the Building Regulations 2010 and Approved Document B. In workplaces and the common parts of blocks of flats, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 makes the responsible person keep fire doors in working order, and in residential buildings with a storey above 11 metres regulation 10 of the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022 adds quarterly checks of communal doors and annual checks of flat entrance doors.
What do fire rated glazed screens cost in Chalk Farm?
Expect roughly £1,400–£4,500 per screen for fire rated glazed screens, fitted, ex VAT. Your Chalk Farm quote is fixed after survey and itemised door by door.
Central and inner London work can cost a little more where parking, loading restrictions or out-of-hours access apply; we show any access costs as a separate line.
Each quote covers the certified doorset, standard ironmongery, fitting, removal of the old door and a handover record; anything outside that scope is shown as a separate line before you accept.
Where fire rated glazed screens are used in Chalk Farm
Corridor borrowed lights and stair enclosure screens are among the most common settings for fire rated glazed screens, in Chalk Farm as elsewhere.
London has the UK's largest concentration of purpose-built flats and high-rise residential blocks, so flat entrance doors, communal corridor doors and regulation 10 checks drive much of the demand.
