Fire door installation in Hertford: how we work
Need fire door installation in Hertford? We supply and fit complete certified doorsets across Hertfordshire, starting with a free measure survey in and around SG13. Every quote lists each door, its rating and the manufacturer's certificate reference, so you know exactly what is going in before anything is ordered.
Where possible we combine Hertford surveys with other visits in Hertfordshire, such as Hoddesdon and Welwyn Garden City, which helps keep survey dates flexible.
Which rules apply in Hertford?
Because Hertford is in England, the starting point is Approved Document B for the specification and the Fire Safety Order 2005 for ongoing duties. Blocks with a storey above 11 metres also fall under regulation 10 of the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022: communal fire doors checked at least every three months, flat front doors at least every year.
Cost of fire door installation in Hertfordshire
Our guide for fire door installation is £750–£1,150 per FD30 doorset fitted, ex VAT. Quotes for Hertford are fixed once we've measured, and include removing and disposing of old doors where they're being replaced.
We show each door's price separately, so if budget is tight you can phase the work and start with the doors your fire risk assessment prioritises.
